Longing to learn more about Fashion Photography, I enrolled last year at the Fashion Institute of the Philippines' Fashion Photography Course. This course was under the mentorship of experienced fashion photographer Rxandy Capinpin.
The year 2011 for ShutterClique photography club was concluded by the creative portraiture workshop facilitated by the seasoned fashion photographer Raymund Isaac.
Philippine Fashion Week Spring Summer 2012 – Premier Collection was held on October 25, 2011 at SMX Convention Center at the Mall of Asia. Once again our fashion designer friend Melchor Guinto of Azur Lapis Lazuli showed everyone his creation themed "globetrotting".
Last year I took the Fashion Photography Workshop with Raymund Isaac which improved my shooting skills. Others would ask me, “What are the photography workshops that I would recommend them taking?” and on top of my list is Raymund's workshop.
Philippine Fashion Week – Menswear Collection was held on May 10, 2011 at SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia in Pasay City. Our fashion designer friend Melchor Guinto of Azur Lapis Lazuli invited us to the event where his work was also presented.
The PhotoWorld Asia 2011 was held from January 27 to February 1 at the at the Asian Institute of Management in Makati for the educational convention.
I was browsing through the articles on Digital Photographer Philippines Issue #33 when I found the photography work of Jim Paredes. I'm impressed that this musician, producer, writer, television personality (best known for being one-third of the APO Hiking Society), is also doing an amazing work in the field of photography.
You would probably ask why I have been shooting fashion and models without me getting any formal education on fashion photography. My simple response would be that I want to know first what I don’t know. Well, after all the independent shoots, which I did to unravel things I don’t know in fashion photography, I ended up wanting for more.
It was May 16 when Lassalle College International-Manila 2010 graduates showcased their talent in fashion design, held at SM Mall of Asia. Their theme for this year is "The Contemporary Filipina". As a commencement project, the fashion designers were commissioned to present their creation of traditional Filipino costumes using native or home-grown materials.
